Day 3 - Sun 19 Sep 04
Up at 07:00, got my stuff ready, and headed down for breakfast, then walked down to the railway station and caught my train to Zagreb - I managed to get a carriage to my own. The weather started out very misty, and I couldn't see a lot from the train window. However, as the sun got higher it burnt the mist off and I got to see the countryside!
Got through border control with no problems, with just a glance at my passport while the train was stopped at Dobova.
Zagreb is a little more interesting than Ljubljana, at least the architecture is a bit different between buildings. The main cathedral is covered by scaffolding at the moment, which is a real shame. I did the "tourist walk" which took about two and a half hours. Headed back to the station and waited for my train back to Slovenia.
Maybe visiting Zagreb on a Sunday was a bad plan - most of the museums etc were closed. I'm now on the train, and it's very crowded - it's got a very Russian feel to it. There were a lot of tearful farewells on the platform, commuting is a long distance affair here.
